Wall Street deal experience, now working for Main Street businesses.

Mark Zaim is a corporate attorney in Los Angeles. He practiced in the corporate group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he worked on transactions for some of the largest private equity firms in the world, and at a Los Angeles business law firm before opening Zaim Law in West Hollywood.

Before law school he worked at a financial services firm in Los Angeles, so he reads a business the way an owner or investor does, not only the way a lawyer does. At Pepperdine Caruso School of Law he earned top grades, made the Dean's List and served on the staff of the Pepperdine Law Review. He also served as a judicial extern to Judge Brian R. Martinotti of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and Judge John A. Kronstadt of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

His work has covered asset and stock purchase agreements, letters of intent, operating and shareholder agreements, entity conversions, private placements and commercial contracts for owners, investors and operating companies.

After years of Wall Street deal work, Mark opened Zaim Law to bring that experience to Main Street. His clients are closely held companies and the owners, buyers and brokers around them, and the work is priced for a business doing a few million dollars in revenue, not a few billion.
